Dan and Sam grew up here. Live here. Know here. Let their knowledge work for you. |
Dan Gottesman
Dan Gottesman has spent the last 25 years as both a real estate broker and a developer. He has successfully worked with buyers and sellers in hundreds of high-end luxury property transactions.
After forming the Gottesman Chapin Team with Sam Chapin in 2015, Dan & Sam have sold over $150 million in luxury real estate, making them one of the region’s top-producing teams. In 2017, they had the highest waterfront sale on Mercer Island for the prior two years ($9,950,000). They also sold the highest single lot, non-waterfront sale in Mercer Island history ($4,550,000).
Since the age of 19, Dan has been an avid real estate investor and developer in Seattle’s University of Washington district. He currently owns and manages a large portfolio of residential and multi-family buildings there. Dan's extensive background in residential and multi-family properties gives his customers extreme confidence when purchasing their next home. Growing up in the Seattle/Mercer Island area and later attending the University of Washington has made Dan a market specialist in the high-end luxury market.
Dan has two daughters and, occasionally, a Pug named Gigi.

Sam Chapin
Sam has a passion for real estate.
Since forming the Gottesman Chapin Team with Dan Gottesman in 2015, Sam & Dan have sold over $150 million in luxury real estate, making them one of the region’s top-producing teams. In 2017, they had the highest waterfront sale on Mercer Island for the prior two years ($9,950,000). They also sold the highest single lot, non-waterfront sale in Mercer Island history ($4,550,000).
Over the past 25 years, Sam has bought, sold, and managed mixed-use commercial and residential buildings in Seattle (Queen Anne, Capitol Hill, and West Seattle) and Mercer Island. Sam currently owns several buildings and has spear-headed the remodeling, redevelopment, and rebranding of these properties to great success. His experience as a commercial owner and manager is a key benefit to his services as a broker.
Sam Chapin has also practiced law for 25 years. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Washington and his law degree from the University of North Carolina. Sam’s legal career focused entirely on litigation: first as a civil trial attorney for a Seattle law firm, then as a King County criminal prosecutor. More recently, Sam has been a law professor at the UW School of Law and has served as a pro tem judge in King County. Sam’s law practice regularly involved complex negotiations aimed at resolving high-risk disputes.
Sam and his wife, Loretta, have two girls, a boy, and a Labradoodle named Dory.
